Ledger Adds Payward xStocks Tokenized Equities Signing To Hardware Wallets

Ledger has announced the integration of Payward's xStocks tokenized equities platform into its cold-storage hardware wallets, enabling users to sign stock transactions directly from their devices. The integration marks the first time Ledger's hardware wallet ecosystem will support direct signing of tokenized equity transactions, according to the official announcement. Payward, the parent company of the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange, operates the xStocks platform, which offers tokenized versions of traditional equities.

The technical implementation allows Ledger hardware wallet users to sign tokenized stock transactions through the device's secure enclave, which generates and stores private keys offline.
